Holy Moly this has gotten away from me again! I have had various notes stuck in my head to add to my blog, bits here and there, then suddenly it’s far too long between posts and I’ve forgotten half the things I wanted to say…argh..my head is as messy as my desk these days.
I have been doing quite a bit of drawing, working on more educational readers, and counting down the days til we can get Missing Pinky off the ground. It’s been a long time coming for this little book- so hopefully when we launch it in November it will be smooth sailing.
I have also had my head down studying for my teaching qualification (adults) and have been having an awesome time doing that too. So much fun teaching adults who are interested in visual arts and gives me a new perspective on something I have done for a very long time.
My family and I had a short break and visited a place I have wanted to go for a very long time. Uluru- much easier to get there these days and perhaps a little more ‘touristy’ considering ease of access but, I found a profound stillness visiting the rock and Kata Tjuta. I gained so much from just ‘being’ and remembering to live in the now- something I am guilty of not doing as always feel like I am striving for the next thing.
I carry that stillness with me now, and turn to it when I need to feel calm and peace. I am in awe that I could find that there and bring it back with me and so so glad that I had a chance to visit.
So as always, onwards and upwards!
